NEXT POST
The book ... it's in my hands! I have actual copies of my book, The Allotment Keeper's Handbook, in my possession. On the one hand, it's very exciting: I am particularly pleased with "flexi" cover, which is kind of a hybrid between a hardback and a softback. On the other, it's a bit of an anti-climax - perhaps because I feel like I've been working on it forever and I can't quite believe it's over. It doesn't hit the shelves until January 11, but you can pre-order it now on Amazon.

Heritage Seed Library haul for 2007 My allocation of seeds from the Heritage Seed Library have shown up as a pre-Christmas treat. I got my top six choices, plus a "lucky dip" option which always seems to consist of tomato seeds (which is fine by me - given my addiction to growing the things!). I got the following packets: Mangel Yellow Intermediate - this is a beet, a yellow one. I've grown Burpees Golden in past years but was interested to try this variety Squash Lady Godiva - an interesting one, this, because the seeds lack an outer coating and are therefore good for eating Carrot...
