I've told you about the pigs that are my new neighbours on the allotment: well here's proof they exist. Cute eh? Figured out after some time spent watching that there's two boys and four girls. They're very good neighbours, and it's fun looking up from my work occasionally to see them frolicking about or rooting the ground for, well, roots.
I also managed to establish that the electric fence was not switched on when I accidentally barged it while trying to snap a shot of the pigs - not so clever ...
Not so sure now that the gingers are Tamworths though - can anyone accurately ID them for me?
The pigs are cool! I like 'em.
Do pigs have personality? Do they recognize you?
An alottment... I presume this is allocated public space in an urban environment?
Nice blog.

Not yet - but they do come over when I approach - no doubt looking for grub.

Great pictures!
I think it's neat old animal varieties are starting to come back.

The hair on the gingers is very reminiscent of Tamworths, but those spots and slightly floppy ears make me think it's a cross-breed.

Think you're right - it's a cross ...

I have to agree with Patrick, it's great to see some old varieties of animals (especially pigs) coming back. It might sound odd but a lot of Pig breeds were close to dieing out up until a decade ago.
