To the right is a rather dodgy scan of the cover of my book, as scanned in from the Atlantic Books catalogue.
I am pleased with it - I like the simple design and that it avoids the twee look that so many gardening book covers possess. What doesn't come across well in this image is the watering can, pea pod and trowel, which on the real thing look like x-ray images and are rather cool.
Do let me know what you think of it.
Meanwhile I am poring over the proofs and trying to make sure everything is right. I'd like to thank all the bloggers who agreed to let me use their quotes at various points in the book: they really add something to the "down-to-earth" feel mentioned in the subtitle.
How exciting! The cover looks fab - I can already imagine it on my shelf, looking well-thumbed in the company of Monty and Mr Flowerdew. I'm really looking forward to picking up a copy.
Well done for all the hard work (it's sounded arduous!).

The book cover looks great - really simple, clean, and modern - timelessly so.
Some covers really 'date' don't they.
Looking forward to getting a copy
