Both great compost activators, by the way.
And, as I understand it most inks now are made of natural materials and should decompose harmlessly, right? (As always feel free to correct if I am off base on this one).
I'm not so sure about ink being safe now. I know inkjet ink cartridges and laser printer toner have to be turned in for chemical disposal here. Also most white paper is bleached without chlorine now, but paper that isn't can contain PCBs.

I put newspapers in the compost and the local paper uses soy-based inks. I'm not so sure about bills and staements.
