I am still pondering over the putative ingredients of the yam dip I tried at the rather Vancouver veggie/vegan friendly cafe/bar The Foundation (2301 Main St - at 7th Ave/Kingsway: no website, unfortunately). I asked the waitress but she was tight lipped as it's a "secret". But I am guessing yams boiled until soft then blended, plus lots of lemon juice, and possibly tahini or greek yoghurt. Any advances on that?
well it won't be greek yoghurt because you can't buy it here.

Oh my goodness! I just went to The Foundation this weekend, also had "Mingling Yams," and also pestered the waitstaff to tell me the ingredients. All I got out of them is "yams" and "no dairy - vegan." My guess is yams, veganaise, and sugar/juice?
