There's a great piece in the Guardian's Weekend magazine today about a struggling Somerset-based farmer who switched to growing "unusual" vegetables - most of which will be familiar to allotmenteers - as a new way of making a living. It's inspiring stuff.
And who knew that cornflowers are edible?
Not me, that's for sure. I've never eaten a flower, but I'm more than a little tempted - maybe some lightly-battered courgette flowers for a start...?
