I picked my first patty pan courgette today. It's one of those moments when I revel in the wonders of growing your own veg. This little yellow baby is so perfect that I can hardly bear to eat it. Having said that, it'll go lovely in the salmon kebabs with a marinade of garlic and coriander (both homegrown) I'll be eating tonight in my first BBQ of the year.
A BBQ? In England? That must be why it's cloudy here ...
Hi. I'm a new gardening blogger and am certainly enjoying reading yours. This entry *forces* me to suggest you read my august 16 entry -- it's a synopsis of a talk I heard recently on the spirituality of gardening. I'd love your thoughts on it. Susan

Hi susan
I know what the speaker meant about the "holy experience" of eating stuff you've grown. It sounds crazy until you try it yourself!
Thanks for pointing out your blog to me.
