The emerging colour scheme in my garden is purples, silvers and blues. It's taken a while, but my passion flower has really taken hold on my side wall and is now putting out loads of these fantastic blooms. Does anyone know if they make good cut flowers? I'd love to put some in my bathroom but don't want to waste them if they'll wilt within hours.
This ipomaea, which I grew from seed this year, is also starting to wrap its way around the beds. The colour looks nothing like that on the packet, which looked nearly black, but it's still stunning.
I bought three willow trelisses for the fence on the opposite side of the garden today, where two (you guessed it) blue clematis will be twined. Now I just need to find the time to fix them up.
Well, I picked a few passion flower heads the other day and floated them in a dish of water - and they closed up into buds within an hour and didn't unfurl again....so I won't be picking any more!

Thanks for that annette - sounds like they're better left on the bough!
