Sunday was glorious and although other activities kept me from the plot I did manage to mow the lawn in the garden, do a bit of tidying up and some watering - the dry winds of late have dessicated everything. A planned walk with friends also led us unwittingly into the path of a charity plant sale (cue groans from Rick).
It was last knockings and everything was half price, so I got about 10 plants for a fiver, including a pot of lily of the valley, a honeysuckle, a white lily, two alliums, a liriope and a winter flowering jasmine. Some of them have already been planted, and the rest will be worked into the much-awaited bed renovation programme of coming months.
