Is that a strawmato or a tomberry?

Two gardening-related stories caught my eye today:

Does anyone use online lawn and garden web sites to purchase tools, fertilizer, etc. for use in their gardens? If so, which ones do you use? And if not, is there a reason you choose not to?

Smugness interrupted I sharpened my hoe and oiled my wooden fork and spade handles today. I felt infused with a smug glow of satisfaction until I remembered I had a pile of muddy plant pots festering on my potting table so large it was threatening to engulf me. And my Meconopsis grandis seeds haven't germinated. I think they need to go back in the fridge. I will have my blue poppies, dammit!

First tastes This weekend I managed to have a trio of new taste experiences courtesy of my allotment. I tasted sorrel for the first time and instantly hooked - I was worried I'd hate it as much as I hate chicory, but its lemony sharpness hit the spot for me. I ate my first immature pea pod of the year, straight off the plant. Freshness defined. I ate my first immature broad bean pod ever, and realised that it's not the same as eating an immature pea pod. I think I'll wait until the beans ripen and try again.
