One of the drawbacks, if one can call it that, of growing your own soft fruit is that before you know it the next season's harvest is almost upon you while bags full of blackcurrants and berries sit uneaten in the freezer. I do love blackberry, apple and blackcurrant crumble, but not five nights in a row ... Can anyone think of anything I can make to take to work to share the soft fruit vibe around? Or can I make jam out of frozen fruit? I don't want any of my organic produce to go to waste after all.
Margaritas. Lots of margaritas.

Margaritas. Now why didn't I think of that?

Cheesecake or muffins :)
You could also make it into smoothies for home consumption.

Well, it's early April and the last of the snow is gone from the yeard, but the threat of more is still in the West wind. Anyway, I can at least uncover the shovels and rakes and begin clearing what's left of the leaves and sticks. Maybe sometime soon, I can turn the beds to get them ready for some new roots. (what am I thinking?? of course that won't happen until MAY!)
Anyway, happy spring!
