Calling a spade a spade

I've been given one of these. Safe to say this is not going to be left down the allotment but stored with the greatest of care in my garage, possibly in a velvet-lined presentation case.

It's the kind of kit that I hope to still be using when I am drawing my pension. I used it for the first time yesterday and there is something about digging with a bronze spade that elevates the experience to a new level.  Which could be useful, given the amount of digging I have lined up for this year.
