This is utterly non-gardening related, but I thought I'd tell you that I've been shortlisted for the Bloggies awards in the best article or essay about weblogs category for a piece I wrote for Guardian Unlimited about Tom Reynolds (who has also been shortlisted for best tagline). Unfortunately the official Bloggies site is down at the moment so you can't vote at present, but you can view the full shortlists on a saved version of the site mirrored here. I am already familiar with a lot of the other sites that have been shortlisted, but there are a couple I've bookmarked for future reading, including 101 Cookbooks and Treehugger. It's also reminded me to add Zinna Cyclamen to my non-gardening blogroll (despite sounding gardening-related, she's actually a humanist funeral celebrant who writes fascinating and moving posts about her work).
awwww, thanks Jane, I came over from Tom's post so that's two fiery blushes in not many more minutes! Despite my horticultural pseudonym, I'm not much of a gardener, but luckily Top Bloke is a keen grower of organic veg (he lurks around here from time to time - don't worry, he's not dangerous) and I'm a keen cooker and eater of same, so you see he and I are entirely compatible. We too are harvesting leeks and rainbow chard. Delish!
