This has turned up in the post - the Heritage Seed Library catalogue, or, in the words of Rick, "not another bloody seed catalogue".
As an HSL member I can pick 12 varieties of heritage seeds, of which I'll recieve six plus a "lucky dip". It means I can figure out exactly where the holes are in my list of seeds for next year and get a final order in with Vida Verde if needs be.
My heritage seeds top 12 includes a purple podded pea, a scarlet carrot and a white courgette. Now you don't get that down the fruit and veg aisles at Tesco ...
If you have no clue what a heritage vegetable is and why we need to bother saving them, this HSL page explains all - and invites you to adopt a vegetable. It might make an unusual gift for a gardener you know. There's a full list of the varieties up for adoption here.
