I'm pulling an all-nighter at work to cover the US elections tonight, which has freed up some much-needed time for blog maintenance. I've been doing some virtual sowing and pruning in the Blogmarks, Green Fingers and Now Harvesting sections in the left-hand column, so do check out some of the new additions. I've also signed up for Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage newsletter email - essential reading to go with the wonderful new series. Wasn't too sure about the hearts and tongues paprikash he served up to guests as a romantic Valentines day meal, but I'm sure it tasted fabulous. I'd love to have a meal at Hugh's restaurant when it opens: as you may have guessed, he's a bit of a hero of mine.
I'll be off down the allotment later to stare in admiration at my new compost bins, and to get some weeeding done. The beetroots, as you can see from the Now Haresting list, are still going well - now sheltered under my improvised shower-door cold frames: that's what you call reduce, reuse and recycle ...
Whee! I made your Green Fingers list! That made my day!
