Ramsay's rhubarb

The angriest celebrity chef on British TV sings the praises of a much-maligned fruit (or vegetable, depending on your definition), and offers up  some tasty rhubarb recipes.  My rhubarb plant, scrounged from the illegal compost/rubbish dump on my allotment, is growing at quite a pace, but not large enough yet to make plans for a batch of Ramsay's rhubarb, apricot and ginger chutney.

I, too, grow rhubarb, and discovered an absolutely scrumptious recipe for strawberry rhubarb icecream, which I top with a rhubarb sauce. It's absolutely heavenly. Even my husband eats it, which says how good it is, because he does NOT do veggies!

  • "My whole life had been spent waiting for an epiphany, a manifestation of God's presence, the kind of transcendent, magical experience that lets you see your place in the big picture. And that is what I had with my first compost heap."
